Copenhagen 16/8 2015. 50 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh. NV. Blue monkey on the label to give some kinda explanation of the weird name.
Pours hazy dark brown with a thick off-white head which diminishes slowly to a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing,
Aroma of malty sweetness, fermented plums and alcohol. Brown sugar and raisins.
Rather soft carbonation. Slightly this, almost flat texture.
Flavor is excessively sweet and sugary. Fermented fruit in the long sweet aftertaste.
They say on the label that this beer is "a Belgian inspired beer". In my opinion there is a long way to a Bruin from this Plum in Madeira.

Purchased in Copenhagen at a convenience store. Not bad, but had a delicious beer from Estonia the day before.
