Aroma of burnt malts, chocolate and woodsmoke. Body is dark brown and holds a creamy mocha head that is two fingers thick, tight and lasting. Flavor is briefly tangy in the fore, but quickly yields to notes of cocoa, roasted malts, toasted breads, burnt caramel and coffee. The finish has a mild brown ale nuttiness to it. There is a tameness to this as it lacks the concentrated flavor intensity of a great beer, but it does have a decent range of flavor, nice balance and is pleasant to drink which makes it subtle amd not a wower, but still a great beer. Quite solid Porter.
