Copenhagen 26/2 2023. 50 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Off-white label in Skands’ usual design this time with a brown horizontal stripe.
Pours unclear dark brown with a red hue. Small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, sugary, malty odor mingling with liqueur-like scent of alcohol. Raisins and plums. Brown sugar and toffee. Port wine.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is sugary yet rather dry.
Potent, sweet boozer.
