Copenhagen 11/8 2022. 33 cl can from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh. NV. The usual design for Skands' 20 km brand with some flurry texture fluttering around a blue circle with the name of the beer and declaration that this beer is brewed at a maximum of 20 km from where you bought it.
Pours clear dark amber with a huge off-white head. Stable. Settles thin patchy layer of foam struggling futilely to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet and sugary odor mingling with hints of something burnt. Caramel, toffee anf bit of brown sugar. Lactose. Burnt rug.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, a little sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is a tad sugary. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A quite sweet take on a Dark Belgian Ale.
