Copenhagen 30/11 2021. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Hand drawn label with some Christmas paraphernalia with some mushrooms added for good measure.
Pours clear reddish amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with light sour notes and a bit of metallic alcohol. Caramel, toffee, lightly toasted malts and hints of brown sugar. Licorice and a bit of mint. Sour grains and sharp alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a sweet spicy finish.
State of the art Christmas beer: Malty, sweetly spicy and with a boozy buzz.
