Red Ale is a classic English ale with a subtle coriander flavour and a bitterness with a slight edge. The beer has a subdued malt sweetness, a lovely body and a beautiful copper red colour.

Copenhagen 1/3 2019. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rødovre Centrum. Red version of Skands usual design.
Pours unclear amber with a big white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweetish, lightly roasted and tart. Malty but not very intense. Gets stronger as the beer warms up. Caramel, roasted malts, light odor of pear and gooseberries.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, velvet texture.
Flavor is rather sweet followed by a moderate, tart bitterness. Aftertaste has a light bitter bite with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
Decent Amber Ale - a bit on the generic side.
