Dark color, reddish brown, with ruby edges. Not too much foam, beige in color.
Dark malts in the smell, with woody notes, maybe a hint of hazelnut. Anyway, interesting.
Full taste, malty, intense, with a good hazelnut, a light woody note, and even a light chocolate.
A bit of alcohol in the smell, but not disturbing; in the mouth it is well hidden.
Not too strong body, but right.
Soft, but intense.
Interesting beer, with a good drinkability. Important beer, but at the same time, pleasant to drink. Full, but in the end, well balanced.
Good.

660 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Also available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 10.5%. Deep copper colour, large tan head. Interesting aroma, sweet and malty, but also notes of various berries, esp. blackberries, and molasses, caramel and bakery. Intense flavour, very malty and sweet with loads of caramel, partly balanced by a distinct hoppy bite. Spices and alcohol are present too (alcohol maybe more than I appreciate). Quite good, but not easy drinking - the bottle is for sharing!
