A dark, nay black beer, a tan head that settles rather quickly leaving little lacing and curtains.
Typical dark fruit smells, dark malt, toast and nuts.
The taste is sweet, candy sugar, dried dates, chocolate and coffee.
Little carbonation, rather fresh feeling, a coarse dry finish.
Has a lot of acidity and bitterness, but is well balanced, in all a good beer.

Liquid is black with a brown edge. The two finger head is pale brown and airy. It sinks quickly leaving lots of lacing.
The smell is fresh and hoppy with a light sour note. Some dry roasted malt and a hint of coffee.
The taste is sweet with dry and roasted malt, some light clean bitter notes and a mild sour hint. There are some light notes of coffee-candy and candy grease, too. The aftertaste is light with creamy notes of coffee and a hint of chocolate. Coffee-toffee in the long finish.
The carbonation is medium strong; the bubbles very small. The liquid is semi-smooth.
A delicate and balanced beer, yet highly drinkable.
