Five different malt types, together with honey and Christmas spices, give the beer the aroma and taste of honey hearts. The beer is also enriched with lactose to boost the mouthfeel and give it softness. Honninghjerte Ale is suitable for glazed hamburger steak or Christmas medister with green cabbage.

Copenhagen 8/12 2020. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. The usual Gourmetbryggeri brand-design in a dark brown version.
Pours slightly unclear amber with a small white head. Disappears completely after a few seconds leaving what looks like a flat coke behind.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with Christmas spices. Crystallized sugar, honey, cloves in abundance. Light hints of licorice.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit. A little thin. Finish is sweet and spicy.
Quite sweet and spiced up with the whole Christmas cabinet.
