Copenhagen 22/8 2021. 37,5 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Usual design for Gourmetbryggeriet’s “Nordic Passion” brand. This time with a blue stripe. This time the Nordic theme seems to consist in adding rose petals and cornflower to the beer.
Pours unclear amber with a big dense white head. Stable. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a floral scent and hints of butter. Sweet pale malts, bread and straws. Rose and cooked vegetables. Light citric notes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste sweet and a bit sugary. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and flat.
Very much on the sweet side for a Indian Pale Ale. But it is quite floral.
