American IPA brewed with Danish rye malt which gives a spicy, sweet taste as a counterpoint to the bitterness from Cascade, Centennial and Mosaic hops. An American inspired Rye IPA which has a bitterness and an aroma that goes really well with smoked and/or fried/grilled meat, spareribs and burgers, but is also a great companion to fatty fish.

Copenhagen 22/3 2020- 33 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Gourmetbryggeriet's usual design for their Nordic Passion brand this time light green.
Pours slightly unclear, dark amber with a big white head. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam covering the surface of the glass. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong malty sweetness and a lighter citric bitterness. Burnt caramel, brown sugar. Light odor f citrus and grape fruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, smooth, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense and has a fairly strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet with a light burnt tang.
Quite sweet for an IPA - and only moderately bitter. Not bad but not much of an Indian Pale Ale.
