A 500ml bottle with a BB date of July 2011. Label mentions that this ale is named after Nye Bevan.

Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A clear coppery-amber colour with good carbonation. Produces a thick head of off-white foam that remains for a couple of minutes. Aroma of sweet malt with notes of dried fruit (raisins).

A malty taste with slight sweetness. Faint hints of dried fruit. Light bitterness, but no hoppy flavours. Mouthfeel is smooth but rather thin and watery. Leaves the palate dry, with a mild malt aftertaste.

An OK ale, but it smells better than it tastes. The flavour and mouthfeel are a bit weak and watery. Won't be rushing out to get this again...
