A summer ale with a slightly lighter colour than expected, with a refreshing yet slightly hoppy taste.

The 1905 Century Ale pulls a deep amber color with good clarity, with a small fluffy white head of large and medium sized bubbles which leaves heavy handsome lacing. The bouquet is very mild, even difficult to detect, but yield some light citrus hop notes. The taste begins sweet, predominately caramel flavors, but smoothly transitions into a tea-like mildly biter finish. The mouthful is very soft and exceptionally warming for a beer of this low abv, it is very drinkable, and at the risk of sounding like a beer commercial, smooth. While this offering from Rhymney Valley is not overwhelming in its complexity, its well balanced drinkability and low alcohol content make it a decent session beer
