Atmosphere - 4.0
This is a pretty classy and new looking joint, with a high ceiling with wooden beams, and a highly polished wooden floor. Music is quite low, so conversation is no problem. Feels a bit too upmarket in my opinion, not a place you would feel comfortable getting more than a little tipsy.
Quality - 4.5
Beers, seating, food, everything is of a high quality and cleanliness is very good too.
Service - 3.0
This has been a complete mixed bag. They do beer tasting at the bar, and provide detailed tasting notes (albeit without enthusiasm) which is great. However, waiting times to be served are consistently long (even when it's quiet!), and there seemed to be something of a lack of cooperation and friendliness between staff.
Selection - 3.5
If they had all their beers available, this would score higher. However, of the three times I have been there, there has always been between 1 and 3 beers not available on-tap. However, a good supply of bottled beer does something to make up for this.
Food - 4.0
A pretty good selection of reasonably priced meals, and expensive bar-snacks including chips and aoli for $10! Food was all tasty and of a good quality, although could do with a few more healthier options and more vegetables.
Value - $$$ - a bit pricey
The best value option is the Jack's Rack: six quarter pints of six different beers for $10 is a bargain. However, by the pint the beer is slightly overpriced, and there are no inexpensive snack options. Most meals are reasonable.
Edit: Has since gone into liquidation.
