Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden color with an amber tint; somewhat modest head for the style, but it retains well and leaves a number of dancing shards of lace
Smell: Spicy coriander tones and rather bready, with a distinct orange peel tone as well
Taste: Opens with a banana bread flavor that verges on coriander by mid-palate, with the spices actually becoming rather prickly; after the swallow, the orange peel and yeasty flavors make an entrance
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with effervescent carbonation
Drinkability: Nothing earthshattering - just a good example of the style

A: this is a very golden almost amber colored beer, with a very pleasant cloudyness the head should probably be less "insignificant" i know i know but it makes sense to me.
S: Very floral with an obvious malt and yeastness there is a slight spice aroma but nothing too powerful or noticeable
T: there is an obvious zest, as in fruit zest its prominent yet subtle...kinda hard to explain. there is a very frothy mouth feel with tingles of bubbles it has a very noticeable though hard to explain taste. it is very crisp but with a sort of "deadening" on your tongue...hard to explain but not bad.

Tiny effervescent bubbles churn within the hazy golden-brass body. Above, its massive head of bright-white rises as if it would eventually climb right out of the glass. It eventually settles, but the head retention is excellent; and it leaves rings of thin, craggy lace about the glass.
The nose is musty, chalky, floral, spicy with coriander, and livened by some citrusy rind (lemon & orange).
Zesty tingles awaken the tongue. Light-medium in body. Effervescent.
The flavor is floral, chalky, spicy, musty, subtly tart, and gently honeyish and candy-sweet. Wheaty malt is at its heart, but can sometimes be hard to find with so much yeastiness and spice swirling about it. A brisk bitterness balances it, and along with its spice and chalky/musty yeast, it finishes bone-dry. Delicate coriander, citrus rind, and mustiness linger long in the aftertaste.
It's not overly complex, repeating the same characteristics over and over again, but it is quite bright, intense, interesting, and refreshing. Demure, it is not! Well done!

Labelled as "Celtika Celtic White Beer"
Lightly hazy light golden straw color with a tall white head at first which relaxes to a decent head with nice active carbonation. Mostly an orange peel aroma with touches of spice and grainy wheat malt. Coriander spice seems much more prominent in flavor than aroma; overall, a bit citrusy... Medium-light bodied with a decent creamy finish.
Starts fairly nice, finishes OK.
Per Label: "Ale brewed with spices (coriander and orange peel)"
Best Before: 01/31/07 ('B405' on cork)
Tasted: 10/25/06
($4.99 / 750 ml / 25.4 oz. tall brown wine-like bottle, corked, and caged)
