Beer bottle (33 cl.), tasted in 2009.
Apperance : orange color (veiled), with white foamy head (not persistent).
Smell : ester aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : the persistence is long and powerful, good alcohol presence.
Drinkability : an average beer in the style Triple.

Picked this one up largely thanks to the sharp label while in France last fall, although it took a bit of research to determine who was brewing this one.
"It's the beer that was served at the last congress of the French Federation of Rugby of all the rugby clubs amateurs and professionals."
So brewed by and for Rugby enthusiasts... but it seems like this one is here to stay. How crazy is it that Rugby fans/athletes are drinking crazy delicious Belgian Blonde/Golden Ales instead of crap?
Anyway... This one pours a beautiful pale gold with a few fingers of expressive head. Gorgeous stuff.
Aromas of banana and passion fruit give way to a weighty, hearty breadiness that offers a perception of rough earthiness. Maybe a bit of funk?
On the palate this is very clean and precise, a nice rolling mellow mid-palate sweetness blending fruity esters into pale malt richness dying down behind a crisp carbonation and limited but sharp bitterness.
Beautiful and easy to drink, pleasant tasting if slightly reserved.
