From 12/17/13 notes. Had a 16 oz. pour of this in a pint glass at The Jeffrey in NYC.
a - Pours a clear amber-orange color with one inch of bright white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of pale malts, fruity malts, and light citrus hops. Nice but light on the hops, and not a ton going on in the nose.
t - Tastes of citrus hops, fruity malts, pale malts, lemon, earthy notes, and floral hops. More citrus hops and hops in general than the nose, a step up for me.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. No bitterness, smooth and easy to drink.
o - Overall a decent IPA, though not my favorite from CL and I prefer their normal Imperial IPA to this one. This one had much less of a hops presence, especially in the nose. Worth checking out but not something I'd revisit if I could get their normal Imperial IPA.
