Freshie growler filled at the brewery. Brewer Scott Tobin, Pilot batch #81 (!)
"Brewed exclusively with apollo hops, dry hopped with apollo, cascade and chinook"
Pours clouded and dull darker apricot. Tiny bubble head, stays nicely. Tiny bubble film, and tons of fine sheeting, fields and strands of lace left behind.
Fruity nose with pineapple, lime and grapefruit.
On the palate, I'm getting lots of fresh tropical fruit notes including more pinapple, more grapefruit and again lime. Hops add a dense and dank hop note to the lingering finish.
Gotta be happy to see and get to enjoy another DIPA from the captain. This won does not fall short. Fruity and flavorful with a solid hop crunch in the finish.
