"Brewed with flaked oats for a smooth finish and packed with simcoe dry hops for a balanced aromatic pale ale"
Growler filled at the brewery this evening. Pours quite dark for a "pale ale". Dark brown, very dark brown leaving me wondering why this one is called a "pale ale", oh well ever onward...leaves a nice looking tiny bubble film, more then ample and more less then tiny bubble sheeting all up and down the glass.
Dark malts and bright dusty hops on the nose.
More of the same on the tongue and in the mouth. Pungent and drying hops, and some dark grains. Tasty and enjoyable - another worthy pilot batch from the captain
