Pilot Batch #106
"This copper-colored thirst quencher was fermented with 100% Brettanomyces. Notes of fruit and bubblegum."
They are calling this a "Brett IPA"
1/2 Growler refilled at the brewery today for $8
Pours clouded darker amber, head is medium khaki, looser and lasting. Leaves respectable strands and small fields of lace.
Ripe fruits on the nose. Melon and berries come to mind.
On the palate, I'm getting light smoke, some citrus, coriander, Belgian infused phenols and ye,s the advertised bubble gum. Some funk but not sour.
Quite dry and quite tasty. Hope the Capt' keeps up the Brett experiments/pilot batches.
