Brown color and clear liquid. Moderate head but it lasts. Some webby lace on the glass.

Toasty, darker malt start to the nose.

Much more notable hop bite than I expected from the smell. The start of the taste is dry and touch earthy. The swallow is more dry and the hop bitterness peaks here. Appropriate body with a bit of muted carbonation.

3/4...on tap at the brewery. Pours light brown, off white foam. Dusty, earthy nose. Light caramel malt flavors, earthy, and then a hard pushy bitter. More bitter than your average brow. Quite good.

"A big malty brown ale, brewed with English Marris otter & German Munich Malts. Paired with a healthy dose of American hops"

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery and now reviewed from a 1/2 grower.

Pours a nice darker shade of mahogony, dark khaki head, leaving fine webs of lacing all the way to the top of the glass.

Pungent nose of maple, caramel and coffee grounds.

Super smooth on the palate

Lovely malted up brown ale, showing off waves of lucious malts. Caramel, maple, and again some coffee all over this one. Boldy flavorful - a treat...go get some while it is still available at the mothership
