Poured a murky golden orange color from a corked 12.7 oz. bottle into a Samuel Adams imperial pint glass with minimal head, no lacing and visible particulate matter that settled to the bottom of the glass. Aromas of sour grapes, oak, hops, and funk are present. Sour tartness throughout with a little hop bite towards the finish. Mouth is medium bodied and leaves a little chalky feel in the beginning but mellows out in the end, despite the bite. An OK sour but probably a little past it's prime. Would have liked a best by or bottled date, as probably aged in cellar for a year.

Draft at the Industry. Hazy, Mily pale golden with soft, bubbly head. Gentle fruity, yeasty aromas. Taste picks up with a nice sweet pucker, grapes. Nice feel, but nothing sticks around for too long. Nice.

Appearance: Pours clear and golden with a one finger head; decent retention with a few squiggles of lacing left behind

Smell: Tart and bitter, with green apple, barnyard funk, pomelo and pith

Taste: The tart and bitter flavors have a tussle from the get go with the green apple competing with the pomelo; funky, through the middle, with an increasingly pithy element coming forward; the finish has a medicinal character

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with crisp carbonation; quite puckery

Overall: Save the medicinal finish, this is a good, hoppy sour

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) bottle into a conical pint; no production information, purchased at the brewery.
A: Pours a crystal clear, luscious golden color initially, although a yeast remnant clouds it slightly at the end of the pour. Robust head formation with a nearly two inch head initially, solid head retention, but spotty lacing.
S: Sharp nose with aromas of pear and honeysuckle. Maybe some tropical fruit, e.g pineapple.
T: Tart but noticeably semidry to semisweet. Granny Smith apple, pear, and white grape, e.g. Asti especially flavors predominate. No appreciable hoppy bitterness.
M: Light bodied with persistent, champagne bubble effervescence.
O: Wow! I had had the Sour Series Black, but this was really a cut above. Sours are an acquired taste no doubt, but this would constitute a great gateway AWA. I thought it was more than suitable for pouring during a celebration.

Golden in color with ample carbonation, minimal head and foamy spotty white lacing. Aroma is candy-like with pineapple hard candy coming forth with other assorted like citrus. A touch of funk on the pallate and once again, tons of pineapple. Great sparking mouth feel and a crisp, slightly sparkling finish, once again highlighting the slightly overripe pineapple taste. Light wood at the extreme end. Nicely done!
