Generous two plus finger head of dense off-white foam, even surface until it starts cratering as it dissolves, very nice retention, thick streaks of lacing stick pretty much forever on the glass sides. Quite hazy liquid with fine particulate suspended throughout, very large bubbles float slowly upwards, scattered, no beads. Pungent nose of pink and white grapefruit, tangerine citrus, tea leaf, tar, dried pine sap and toasted bread crusts, curiously the pineapple, papaya, nectarine fruit scents can get lost in it all, the powerful lift keeps the dankness in check. Full-bodied and a touch foamy in texture, immediately coats the mouth. More peppery here and as that and the dry grapefruit pith settles it, the texture does firm up and percolate. Cleaner with more basic earthiness and tarriness and minimal dankness. The fruit gets sweeter, particularly if warming, into mango, apricot, peach and pineapple. Never does get the floral aspect grounded, though. Table cracker and more bread crust, the malts restrained and not too sweet. The carbonation is muscular and churns more than swirls. Has plenty of excess energy but never loses its sense of direction.

Not my favorite, somewhat of a light flavor for an IPA.

Can, no date:
Hazy but has rays of light getting through near the base versus and is a dirty sun color overall. The head is controlled but adequate, and falls in a creamy, frothy inverted cap as there is a solid line of lace just above the body. This turns into misshapen curtain lace as I drink it down.

Nose actually comes across as pineapple and juniper initially, but I also get a peach/nectarine combination with maybe some kiwi or light berry. There's a certain earthy dirt note to me as well, which I can't place.

Initial taste does have a pseudo-tart note, like the juice of a not so ripe nectarine. There is a woody piney counter that begs searching out, as it's not in my face. Mango, tangerine, and a bit of pithiness with the thin strain of pine that is omnipresent. The beer leans juicy all the way to the end, though, with the there being more of a drying sensation than a mouth shrinking bitterness.

The beer is very clean, with the tangy juicy "tartness" cleaning the palate near the end. Very small pin pricks of carbonation liven the feel through the middle. There is very light resin to minty coating.

I appreciated this beer, but the level of juicy tartness is not my favorite in an IPA. I don't mind a juicy opening, but I prefer something take over the end taste more often than not. This never got to a level of bitterness against that juiciness for me. But it was enjoyable enough.

Poured from a 16 oz tallboy can into a clear glass tulip. No freshness date evident.

A: hazy gold with a lot of particulate and 1-2 finger off-white head with nice lacing.

S: Complex hop aroma with skinny, weedy dank elements as well as berry, melon, and grapefruit and lime citrus on a crackery pale malt backdrop.

T: the flavor is much more spicy and dank hop driven with small amounts of melon and lemon and more weed and mild berry. Malt is way in the back and crackery at most.

M: it has the feel of seltzer or carbonated punch.

O: the feel is off for sure but maybe in line with the NEIPA style of IPA.
