Muddy? Check. This is a relatively non-appealing brown with a hint of rusty red. Beyond that, the cherries don't come through as much as I had hoped - it is more Oud Bruin than fruit beer for sure. That said, it is tasty enough, somewhat bitter/astringent as though the cherry skins contributed a little too much to the flavor profile, but has a nice malt backbone that is reminiscent of cherry pie crust.

Burgundy in color with brownish hues and a an off white and very lightly oink tinged head. Great spidery lacing. Aroma is fizzy, funky and exhibits a lot of raspberry and dark cherries. Flavor is funky with a very refreshing souriness. Once again the cherries come out in the taste and the barnyard funkiness continues to almost the very end, leaving a tingly and crisp cherry soda feel. Good beer.

12.7 oz bottle, $11 at the brewery, caged and corked
Pours dark murky brown, dark khaki cap, and leaving long and lasting strands of lace
Musty nose, with some maple back notes
Full on tart, tangy, musty and flavorful with cherries, oak and dark berries....full on tart...will not be for everybody, but if ya like a robust oud bruin style beer, this one is well worth a try
