The first beer I will consume from this brewery, a wild ale. I like the additions of grapes and strawberries could add complexity to the beer. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour of the beer produced a pink-tinted one finger head. Sadly, the retention of the head does not last, like a male virgin on his cherry night. The head did not leave any traces of its head on the glass. Only thing I see on the glass is a thin pink-tinted ring around the glass. The color of the beer is akin to a rose wine. It is a reddish hue but not, a pinkish hue but not somewhere in the middle of those two hues. The clarity of the beer is clear to brilliant.
The aromas in the beer are barnyard, straw, earthy, berries, maybe grapes, and a light maltiness adrift. The aromas give a hint that the beer is stuffed with fruit; however, it is difficult for me to smell through the quagmire of funk.
The flavors in the beer are the barnyard, earthy, berries, grapes, lemons, vinegar (in a good way), light maltiness, and fresh country air (if that can be a description).
The mouthfeel of the beer is acidic, bright, and sour.
The body beer is light-plus, high carbonation, and a full finish.
The brewery turned up the funk meter on this beer to 150 out of 100. The beer is loaded with fresh fruits, quite bright, and acidic. This beer is awesome. Loaded with all the goodness you want in a wild ale. I am fortunate that I was able to try this beer. Wish I had more to consume.

EBF Last Saturday Brilliant deep dark red in color with a small bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Grape jam and faint strawberry under some earthy tart funk. Pretty good.

Transparent pinkish-red brew. Decent head production for the style.
Very rustic nose, really showing off the Brett, lacto, and added fruit. Tart, musty, and slightly sweet, featuring red grapes and strawberries, tannins, vanilla, and an implied sourness.
This beer manages to deliver on the palate, with distinct thirds. Up front, it's moderately sour, carrying tones of vinegar and tannins - not too much for an AWA, but more than a sour novice is likely to appreciate. The Brett funkiness really comes to bear in the middle, adding a musty, dusty, straw-and-hay depth to the profile. The fruit comes on primarily on the back third, without adding too much sweetness.
There's a bit of overlap, of course; there's a very slight fruitiness up front, and the sourness lingers into the relatively short finish.
Lively and smooth on the palate.
This is really an impressive brew; I don't hesitate to call it exceptional. If you put this out under the label of a Belgian master or some of the stalwarts of the American sour scene, I doubt anyone would question it for a moment.
