Single for the ride home in my thermos coffee mug. Wish it was colder and foamed over on the pour on my khakis which negates some scoring. Good feel and finished well. A nice DDH-NEIPA with Comet hops is worth a try.

Canned: 3/21/19
Opened on: 6/11/19
Double dry hopped with Comet hops.
The looks: Bright golden color with an opaque, white haze inside. White and sticky cream fluff is tight with sticky lacing.
Pine tree sap, coriander, strawberry rhubarb pie, evergreen needles and golden wheat malt makes up the nose. A rather fine one at that.
The Comet hops and very golden malted barley makes a very unique and radical flavor. Tangy pine, dried mango chunks, snappy wheat and grains style malt bite, THEN: dry, dry, dry, Earth and herbal tones makes up the flavor spectrum. Sour>sweet sour>sweet and tangy! Pretty heady complexity.
Crisp, dry, crisp, dry and then slick, hefty, hot and maybe even dry again for the finish. Medium bodied overall.
It's a dense Galactic Fog.

Opaque golden color with a small white head. Good retention, not much lacing, though.
Smells like generic tropical fruit--some apricot and mango.
Tastes like apricot, peach, mango, orange juice and peel, creamy doughy malt, and a bit of orange peel bitterness on the finish.
Creamy mouthfeel, moderately carbonated.
A really solid NEIPA. Didn't blow me away, but went down super smooth and tasty.

16 oz can poured into a tulip pint.
Appearance
Extra hazy blonde. Some yeast sediment. 1 finger of foamy white head.
Nose
Oak, pepper, and mango. Hard to pinpoint...
Taste
Carries oaky and peppery hop flavors, perhaps cedar wood? Slight tropical notes underneath of mango and papaya. Light honey maltiness.
Mouthfeel
Medium-plus bodied, silky, smooth, spicy, and lightly bitter.
Overall
Easy drinking and smooth NEIPA. Comet is really something else.

A: A hazy yellow color with a bright white head.
S: Citrus and tropical fruits. Lemon peel, pineapple, pear, and more pineapple.
T: Tropical fruity flavor, with orange zest, and pineapple coming out swinging. Almost a touch too sweet, there is a bit of a cloying flavor in there.. almost like fresh pineapple juice, some earthy bitterness in the finish keeps it from being too sweet.
M: Medium thick in feel, with moderate carbonation, and a dry finish.
O: Overall a pretty tasty version of this style.

Guided to this by Mike at Thirsty Pug. On the surface... another NEIPA clone. Fits well in the style and very enjoyable. SOP citrus; haze and body... but I thought the Comet Hops were very good choice, and helped distinguish the beer with a rounder flavor melding that accented some aspect of pit fruit and melon. Glad I grabbed a second can / will share with friends.
