Pours a light straw yellow, minimal 0.5" head formation with light lacing and retention. Nose is orange Starburst and some trace wheat notes. Not overwhelmingly candy sweet, but certainly leans on the artificial side. Taste is surprisingly subdued, however. Frozen concentrated orange juice, low sweetness and not at all tart, with some wit (doughty, coriander spice) notes. Nothing was dialed in too hard, however, keeping this pretty light overall. Feel is a touch oily, thin, with low carbonation. This wasn't too bad, but think this would benefit from more crispness.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super pale straw color with a small head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The smell is strong of an orange tang like smell mixed with some light wheat and a little bit of tropical fruit aromas of tangerine, mango, and pineapple.
Taste – The taste begins less sweet than I was anticipating from the nose. There is a light grain and some tangerine and orange, which create a base flavor for the brew. There is also a light lemon and hay upfront, with the later getting stronger as the taste advances. A touch of floral and herbal hop joins at the very end (very light), leaving one with a rather dry and lightly citrusy wheat taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the brew is thin with a high level of carbonation. The feel is ok, but really doesn’t highlight the flavors enough. That said, it does match the abv well and makes it rather crushable.
Overall – Its OK. Probably would taste better if siting pool side on a hot day. Worth a try for what it is.

Clear pale gold with a large loose head. Light cereal nose with a pleasant tangerine orange blast. Very light malt body, quite watery. Great crispness, enjoyable to drink. Nice looking and smelling but not substantial by any means.

It was a deliciously smelling beer - sweet and tart and full of orange citrusy scent. But that was about all that really stood out. The look was a meek, pale yellow, the mouthfeel was carbonated and astringent, and the taste was more tart than sweet - not as well balanced as it was in the nose. Nonetheless, it was a decent beer and definitely worthy of its sessionable advertisement.

For what it is, it does it very well. Nice fresh orange/orange peelAroma. Taste is a light, crisp, easy to drink lager with only a tad of orange. Nothing is over the top, no artificial flavors. A perfect crusher for the summertime. I hope this comes around again.

From the pint can, it pours a slightly hazy pale yellow color with a lustrous white head that lasts and leaves some lacing. The nose gets the scent of an orange scented polish or cleaner (ichorNet was right on with the description!). The mouth gets a light lager with hints of orange. Interesting!

Captain Lawrence puts out a LOT of IPAs, so it was surprising to me to see this on the shelves of my local place this afternoon when I went to check out what was new. Why not? A refreshing, quenching, orange-flavored lager could be just the right thing, and it's even better that it clocks in under 5% ABV. Let's see if this really is a "crusher," as they call it.

The pour here is even more pale than I thought it would be, about 3-4 SRM. Hazy-ish but mostly clear with a straw-yellow appearance and a thin, bubbling head that quickly settles to about a quarter-finger of suds. Moderately active carbonation rising from the bottom of my glass, but not much else to say about this one. I'm not overly impressed, but a lager like this doesn't really have to blow me away aesthetically, anyway. I get the feeling this was designed to drink straight from the can anyway.

Smells of orange cleaning product upfront with a mild hint of mango and tangerine. A little bit like orange-flavored Hi-C mixed with a spritz of herbal hoppy snap. Not bad, and kinda vibrant, but it still does have a note of "smells like something you'd find under your sink and which you'd promptly use to clean a big mess," so that's distracting. Not much in the way of graininess in the nose. Hi-C like note comes out more as it warms, so I'd just drink this one cold.

Flavor profile is, well, orange. There's a bit of crackery grain in there, which I appreciate (especially after it was lacking from the smell), and the mid-palate has a slight grassy hop presence that is quickly drowned out by oily citrus. Yeah, not really sure about this. It's almost refreshing, but the flavors aren't really natural or cohesive to me, and it ends up just tasting like a plain old adjunct lager that someone dropped a few drops of that orange-type "water enhancer" stuff in. Feel is crisp and lively, however. Probably the best part of this, but easy-drinking does not a great beer make. I'm sure there is a market for this out there right now, but I don't think it will be ending up in my summer repertoire.

Half growler from the source.

Medium hazed pour, leaving some fine and delicate lacing.

Light orange notes on the nose.

Fresh, bright and zesty, more oranges and light tropical fruit goodness abounding. Nice summer beer
