Sour ale aged in oak with grapes. Achieve Grapeness with this puncheon-aged sour red ale. Blended with a mix of juicy red grapes, this ale is tart, bright, and bursting with a deep fruity flavor.

10/3/20....murky crimson red, quite dark, all foam is gone. Oaky, fruit, tart. Hints of grape. Sharp tart open. Heavy wood based background. Quite sour/. Still a strong carbonation though. Lots of wood.

Pours a clear dark reddish brown with a thin fizzy brown foam film, no retention. Aromas of subtle funky brettanomyces, oak, earthy, and overly ripe red grapes. The taste follows the nose; tart grape skins, oak, mild vinegar, hint of green apples, wine like, and a touch of acidity. The mouthfeel is tart, slick, sherry like mouth coat, thinner to medium body, low carbonation with a juicy finish and very mild dryness with ripe red grapes and oak lingering. Overall flavor is well balanced, very approachable sourness (2.5/5), low acidity, very easy to drink and not a hint of noticeable ABV at close to 8.0%. This is a very tasty beer, the taste reminds me of a mild sour brown ale, similar to a Flanders Oud Bruin.
