16 ounces direct from the source a few days ago. Bottom of the can states "06/19/2020" yeah its a freshie...
Pours out with a light haze, lighter almond in color, and leaves a bunch a lasting 1/2 inch cap and webs and strands of fine lacing all over the glass...nice looking offering.
A bit of flowery perfume on the sniff, perhaps some yeasty notes, but its all kinda muted.
Bitter and somewhat resiny hops up front, a hint of Belgian character expressed by some yeast, Candi sweetness and some oranges. Doesn't scream Belgian on my palate, but its enjoyable, whatever you want to call it...has more of old school west coast IPA character. Interesting, well crafted and well worth a try.
