Tall can...."canned 1/25/21" stamped on the bottom.

Pours the de rigueur for "hazy IPA" nearly fully hazed and juiced in appearance. Lighter shade of zucchini flesh in color and leaving ample fine bubble sheeting on the glass.

Light notes of lemon, grass, and coriander on the sniff.

On the palate, it again semi zesty lemons, some coriander, I also get to thinking about vanilla, and some grass qualities. Light, delicately flavorful, elegantly created and fresh tasting. Drying hops in the finish...well done and well worth tracking down and trying...more fine brew from the captain.

A fluffy, one inch head is white and turns rocky as it melts. One minute later, all that is left is sticky lace on a Spieglau IIPA glass. The IPA is straw-gold to yellow (SRM 3) with a dense fog more than haziness.

Strong grapefruit aromas join forces with grassiness. Some lemon is followed by dry pine needles.

The bitterness is high and is followed by a strong astringency. Grapefruit pith is through the roof. A long finish starts off bitter and astringent, then proceeds to gradually diminish.

A medium body with the texture of nylon. Alcohol is as expected, while carbonation is modest. Overall, this is a very dry beer.

If one considers this a West Coast IPA, then they wont be disappointed, except for the fogginess. I suspect this would be better if consumed with spaghetti in butter sauce.

16 ounce can poured into a tulip glass.

L---Hazed, bright golden color. Rocky, white head with nice retention and good lacing.

S---A little bit of hops bitterness. Fruity (lemon, orange) & floral.

T---Doesn't quite live up to the nose, but still pretty good. Orange & lemon are dominant.

F---Medium+ body. Very well carbonated.

O---A new brewery to me. This was a quality beer. I'll keep an eye out for Captain Lawrence in the future.
