Can dated 3/2/21 into pint glass. Pours a hazy gold with a brief off-white head. Not much lacing. Initial impression is juicy pineapple, grapefruit, and a touch of pine. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Finish is citrus-y and somewhat sweet, fading to a slight bitterness. Overall, an enjoyable but not extraordinary NEIPA.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top pint; canned 03/08/21.
A: Pours a hazy, golden yellow color with solid carbonation and clearing, leaving a one finger, white head, mostly rim retention, and no more than sudsy rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of pineapple, navel orange, mango, and grapefruit predominate. Definitely some oregano and pine. More barley as it warms.
T: Semisweet. Grainy/grassiness seem to predominate the fruit melange at first with the reverse true as it warms. Solid but not overwhelming bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: A fruity and fun NEIPA. Seems like it is designed to appeal to Lager/Pale Ale oriented palates (not a criticism).

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass canned on 3/03/21. Pours a very attractive yellow orange with a finger sticky white head that leaves scattered lines of lace with solid retention. 4.25
Aroma peach, mango, passionfruit, pineapple, and apricot fairly tame, but pleasant enough. 4
Taste follows passionfruit, mango, peach, pineapple, and apricot low on bitterness and actually no alcohol detected. 4.25
Mouthfeel is above medium, rather soft carbonation, not dry or sticky, and at 8.5% it feels like you are only drinking 7%. 4.25
Overall I will always say I love when a Big NEDIPA drinks smaller than its actual ABV, but I am disappointed when a Imperial Stout drinks smaller than the ABV. This is a sneaky NEDIPA that I would definitely recommend giving a shot. 4.25

3/8/21 dated tall can.
Typical NEIPA look, and leaves some respectable fine lacing.
A bit of perfume and ripe fruit on the sniff.
Tasty brew with some tropical fruit notes, some tea, some lime and ginger....complex and delicious...nice new creation from the Captain
