15th year anniversary collaboration with Industrial Arts Brewing and Coppertail Brewing. Double dry hopped with Citra, Simcoe and Cashmere hops.

Looking back over 15 years of brewing at Captain Lawrence, a few people stand out in my mind as being both inspirational and instrumental in getting us to where we are today. Starting a brewery was always a passion of mine from the time I was a teenager, but once it was built and the brewing began, having a community of brewers to grow with and learn from was key. Jeff O'Neill and Casey Hughs have both been there for me. Whether it was yeast, hops or a helping hand, they have always been Super Friends ... Today, they are Super-Duper Friends.

Poured a hazy orange-gold body with minimal head and no lace. The aroma is pulp and citrusy with notes of grapefruit and tangerine. Smooth, medium body, minimal bitterness from the hops as mostly a citric aroma and taste with some tangerine and tropical fruit sweetness and good balance.

Big head, big disappointment to follow is usually the case. Only over-starching a beer above the usual barley malt can produce such a mess. The head is a billowy starchy white, receding unevenly. It took two deliberate pours to get a pint can's contents to fit inside a clear glass liter mug. There's a little more hop aroma than many with this profile. It's almost minty and includes a pleasant dose of alcohol. The body is surprisingly rich, likely because oats were included as softening agents, instead of, or along with wheat. Overall, this is a pretty good Imperial AIPA. There's no hoppy bite, nor character, but there's enough there so the drinker can tell this is an IIPA. There's a solid body that carries the malty sweetness that is needed for an IPA to be good. A little dose of yeast and alcohol end the taste contributions, all in good balance. This is a good, but not very good, example of a high octane IIPA that delivers a wallop in taste, but doesn't offer much more.

canned 5/5/21, consumed 6/23/21 so thanks for getting it to me fresh. ok, very good but hoping for more... i like this brewery although they can run hot and cold.
L: drinking from the can. it is a bit weird but stylish.
S: subtle; sweet orange. some papaya. nice
T: unfortunately it doesn't really deliver. muted version of the nose.
F: fine... sure, fine.
O: ok, it's ok but not worth seeking out. too bad because i like this style. just needed to be bigger. confused low-key with balanced, i'd say.

Served in a teku glass from the can.

Appearance: hazy darker gold which comes off with a completely opaque/cloudy body. White head initially rose just above half of one fingers length off the body.

Smell: Light bland lemon skin with hints of orange zest as well just hovers the nostrils.

Taste: Semi sweet complex with hints of yeast and malt. Grapefruit skin with a deeper juice to the brew. Citrus juice is strong on this little bad boy.

Mouth: Medium carbonation with a full body.

Overall: Awesome pick up, not the best IPA I had in my life but a keeper if I see it again. Salud!

This a collaboration with Industrial Arts and Copper Tail Brewing. The Captain's 15th anniv. creation

"Triple Hazy IPA - Double Dry Hopped with citra, simcoe, & cashmere hops"

Tall can, dated 5/5/21.

This one lives up the hype...great looking fully hazed up pour, soft and smooth tropical fruit infused nose and hitting the note on the palate with waves of ripe melon, pineapple, mango, apricots, and the rest of the fruit bowl.

Cashmere indeed on the palate, with the the 10% will hidden and quite elusive....world class...I'm officially on the search for more of this nectar starting tomorrow.
