A - Pours a dark burgundy brown color with a healthy layer of caramel, creamy foam resting on top and sticking to the sidesd of the glass.

S - Toasted caramel, graham cracker, blackberry, and a very small hint of chocolate.

T - An even blend of blackberry, graham cracker, and chocolate from start to finish. The blackberry and chocolate give a slight bitterness to the beer and leaves a residual blackberry on the palate with some chocolate on the very back end.

M - Big silky body witth soft carbonation.

O - This is a really interesting Brown Ale worth checking out.

16oz can into chilled pint glass (not by choice, not a good idea). Dark brown in color with thick tan foam. No lacing. Aroma is very weak; dark fruit sweetness with some faint roast. Taste is very weak as well. The first sip is on par with a  blackberry crumble pie but it coats the mouth with a sticky sweetness that masks any further discernible flavor beyond heavy malt and ethanol. Some overly bitter chocolate is back there. Heavy beer with moderate carbonation. Sugary aftertaste is unpleasant. Good idea in theory but not impressed with the execution of this one.

This is a collaboration with Thin Man Brewery and it sounds delightful. A pint can emptied into a clear Imperial pint glass produced a light biege head on top of a brown brew. It's darker brown than a cola soda, but not as dark as a porter. The proper sized head seems to be enduring. Malt captures the nose first, but behind it there's some grain and berry notes. To taste, chocolate now introduces itself, although the hops and malt still dominate. It's difficult to isolate the blackberry, as the other three flavors stand out. The Graham Cracker inclusion just becomes part of the malty backbone. Although its head does last, there's only scant lacing in the glass. This runs a little bitter for a brown ale and the added flavors don't help to make it any sweeter. That's only problematic for expectations, as this could be presumed to be a desert beer. It's a solid Imperial Brown Ale, with subtle flavors, not one laden with extraneous flavoring not particularly common in the style. That's where it earns its praise.

On draft and now from a growler, all direct from the brewery in Elmsford, N.Y.

Pours dark amber, a rich shade of mahogany, under a slight mocha cap, that does last and goes to a coating film, ringed lacing and fine bubble sheeting all over the glass. Quality look to this one.

Sniff reveals milk and dark chocolate, cocoa, dark berries. On the tongue/palate and in the mouth this is densely flavorful, tasty and complex creation. More chocolate, more dense dark berries. MIghty fine and well worth seeking out

On the palate and in the mouth its all about chocolate goodness

All in all this is a mighty fine brew…now available in cans BTW
