Had a few of these on tap at the brewery tasting room. Appearance is a smokey dark brown, not too much carbonation and very little head which dissipates quickly. The aroma doesn't jump out at you but up close you detect the roasty malts.
Mouthfeel is this beer's strong suite. You get a tease of hops at the front but quickly the rich roasty malts and spices take over and has a nice impact on the palate. The flavor of coffee and cinnamon spice come through nicely all the way through the finish. For me, I'm I'm not a big brown ale fan, but this was a pretty good beer for the first day of fall.
