Freshie growler fill from the mother ship this afternoon. Captain's info sheet provides the following: “100% fresh "wet" hops from Condzella hop farm in Wadding River, NY. A simple ale moderately bitter w/hints of orange and pine."
Always nice to try a new one from the good captain, especially one that just was broken out.
Pours clouded, lighter tangerine, under a very fine bubble head, that starts and stays large. Before slowly going to a high quality looking film and leaving copious of super fine sheeting and scattered lacing….Nice looking beer in an easy going, “we what we are doing kinda way”
Nose is on the muted side, but I’m getting some light pine and some of the advertised orange.
Tasty ale, subtle, fruity and drying hopping, with …yup…pine in the finish, ample malt presence and healthy orange charisma, pleasant mouth feel and elegant drinkability.
CL has been turning out a string of quality smaller batch brews and this is a great example of the fine product being created. Something great is going on……..

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
