Served on tap at the tasting room in Elmsford.

Appearance is dark brown with one finger of a beige colored head. Its` nose hits you with chocolate right away, roasted malts, bread and a general sweetness. Taking a sip and the taste contains a rich flavor, more of the roasted malts, and still plenty of chocolate, but fairly balanced and not too overboard. Mouthfeel is medium, a bit dry in the end. An interesting stout / sweet stout. One that would be great for a pint of with dessert. A well done beer from the CL pilot batch line.

Growler from the brewery.

Near black, they call this a "Belgian stout brewed with cocoa nibs and dark chocolate from "Cacao Prieto" a chocolatier and distillery in Brooklyn, NY" Dark tan head, goes to a collar and leaves nice fine fields of lacing.

Nose of dry and dusty chocolate

Very dry and chocolate infused. Waves of more chocolate, quite dry hops and this one makes me think of a gooey chocolate dessert of some sort. Notes of rum, smoke and more and more dark chocolate.

Late night sipper/night capper kinda brew.
