Super fresh growler into a pint glass. Review from notes back in early February 2013.
Pours a cloudy burnt orange with white bubbly head.
Smells of sweet cotton candy, grapefruit, and candy apple with a wheat backbone.
Tastes of grapefruit and candy apple pie crust with a crystal wheat balance and a hop explosion. Dry crusty middle with a no joke suntan lotion essence. The dry wheat and hops kinda remind me of beach sand dust that hits the back of the throat but does not annoy.
Light to medium body with moderate carbonation.
I'd like to see this one come out again this summer!

This is the Sun Block Witte "on steroids", not sure how often this one wil be brewed, but here it is, on tap, in a growler. Freshie pour from the brewery about 24 hours ago.
Pours heavily hazed, dull medium tangarine. Fluffy light khaki head, leaves a tiny bubble film behind, as well as a medium collar and more then ample high, low and medium sheeting and extensive webs of lacing.
Sniff reveals...hmm..not a whole lot, just some nuttyness, some yeastyness, but its all on the faint side..
On the palate, tongue and mouth this is an interesting and differant brew, with notes of more yeast, more wheaty, yeasty notes, then drying hops late.
Pleasant and flavorful brew, wheat ale with a flavor, body and kick upsurge. Worth a try if you see it at your local , but not sure how far from the brewery this one will travel
