One of the better cask beers I have ever tried, and the clear winner of Volo Cask Fest 2007 commercial beers. Something way out of the ordianry for Magnotta and a worthwhile experiment. The best beer of the fest was something unrateable. Yeast and what aroma. Apricot-peach colour with soap head. Medium bitter, with a dryness followed by a refreshing wave. Coating of yeast all the way through. And there you are in the finish, with the yeast sediment funking it up.

Volo Cask Days 07.
A: Hazy copper-bronze, off-white head, some retention & lace.
S: Appricot, yeast (wheat?), hint of sourness, marmalade, biscuity breadyness.
T: Marmalade, banana, spice, orange, bready, good bitterness. Plenty of depth to this hybrid of styles. It's certainly unique & it seems to work.
M: Moderate body is smooth & creamy; moderate carbonation.
D: Very drinkable.
