This is quite subdued across the board. Needs to get warmed up some to show itself at all. Coffee and dark chocolate on the nose. A little chalky, some sourness. More carbonation than your typical porter. Understated chocolate to taste.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.20 CDN. Canned August 31, 2020.
Appearance - Dark brown from the pour, nearly black in the glass. A half finger of loose tan head is poured and has below average staying power. Thin and tepid soapy collar stays for a longer duration.
Smell - Mineral water, some lighty roasted malt, faint wet coffee grounds. Some gerenal graininess putting it all together. Aromatics pretty light.
Taste - Pretty good actually. Roasted grainy flavor, hints of milk chocolate, bitter, but not overdone and medium coffee at the close.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, thin on the tongue but feels a little denser especially when the chocolate flavors are rolling through. Carbonation is a bit gassy.
Overall - Pretty average porter, but the flavor profiles are pretty good, everything else holding this brew back just a tiny bit. Worth a try and one of the better offerings from this brewery.
