This beer poured a dark chestnut brown color with a smallish tan head. Not much lacing. The smell was weak but I got some caramel and butteryness out of it. The taste was very balanced and refreshing. Nondescript sweet malts hit me first then I get some brown sugar in the taste. Earthy hops are next and the finish becomes more bitter and somewhat spiced. Good body on this beer. Definitely one of the better beers from the GRBC.
