I went to the GRBC tonight to get the free irish pint glass with a beer purchase. Took a sample of this and I liked it. It's on nitro, which kind of sucks because I think this beer has more potential without the nitro. Aroma gets hurt and the spices get pushed back. But the flavors are really good. A nice unsweetened cocoa flavor upfront, there's some cinammon in there and a milky flavor. It's weird but im getting a little bit of a Kahlua flavor in there. Finish is a bit sweeter, like semisweet chocolate mixed with a touch of hops. The hops are perfect in their bittering effects without taking over any of the flavors. I bet the alcohol on this one is really low which would make it easily sessionable. If I didn't know better, I'd think this was a Founder's beer. And that's a compliment!
