Cask served in a mug.
A- It poured with a nice 1-1/2 finger, foamy, off-white head that lingered throughout the entire glass and left really nice sticky spots as I drank. The body was fairly clean.
S- Slighty subdued, but a nice mix between sweet and bready malts and grapefruit and earthy hops.
T- Initially, there was a rush of fresh hops. They began quite earthy and citrus-like but later brought a spicy, peppery flavor. The malts came in a bit later with a nice balanced effect.
M- Nice full feel with a bit of hop bite. I had both the cask and regular CO2 taps in a sitting and preferred the more full feel of the cask version. The regular tap was a little thinner in comparison.
D- A really easy drinker. I had 2 imperial pints with my dinner and could see drinking that or more in a session. Another great IPA from the brewers over at GRBC.
