I went to the brewery and picked up a party pig full of Creamy Copper Ale last night. I poured this beer in to a pitcher, and then a pint tumbler.

Aptly named this one is. A dark copper color in the glass, a shinier copper color when held up to the light. The beer is clear and appears mildly effervescent. Pours three fingers of rich creamy off-white, approaching beige, head. Two fingers or more of head, even when poured ever so gently down the side of the glass. The head is resilient, and left a moderate lacing on the side of the glass while drinking. It is a very impressive and appealing looking beverage

The smell is mild and somewhat floral and fruity. Hop aroma is largely absent, but there is a sweet malt scent. I think it smells a little like vanilla.

The taste is medium bodied, slightly sweet, smoky, and a little earthy. There is a very mild hop finish. The aftertaste is delicate, lingers and is also smoky, and smooth, although slightly more bitter than the beverage itself.

The mouth feel of this beer is smooth and not particularly heavy. Carbonation is low to moderate, and it has a nice creamy feel, although not at all flat.

This is an outstanding cream ale and is very drinkable. I could knock back glass after glass of this copper ale and not tire of it. (I probably will)

An excellent ale!
