Cask at Churchkey in D.C.
The beer is near black with a small beige cap. Aromas of bitter chocolates, coffee, dark roast. Rye character is too subtle. Needs more barrel qualities to really distinguish and assert itself from the standard version. Oak chips in the cask has a lesser effect than aging in oak barrels it seems. This was ok, but not a repeat for me.
