funky looking cans kind of a different look for these guys, also listed at 6% abv on there instead of the more session abv posted here. it tastes alright but boy this is unattractive beer to look at, almost greenish toned, greyish too, drab and murky, almost rotting looking, really sort of puke shaded and not very nice, despite a thick and high rising pure white head and no visible particulate, this color is whack. the nose and taste are much better, but its hard to get past that. mosaic driven it seems to me, canned pineapple which is familiar, some simcoe too likely, grapefruit and pine there, a gin botanical note, and a little bit of a floral honey thing from the grain too. the flavor is bold on the hops, has some bitterness too which i like in a hazy, and brings just a little hint of melon to the relatively clean finish, i have no issue with the hop profile here at all, and in fact think the beer overall is full of potential, but i dont want it to look and feel like this. its thick and even though well carbonated, quite dense and weighty to drink on, there is also a little oxidation here, not sure when this was packaged, but seems a little tired now, which maybe has something to do with the color too. could be wheat based, its fluffy like that, and there is some finishing sweetness too that holds the hops on my palate long after the swallow, again primarily mosaic although there must be others in the mix as well. im not wild about this one, among the least refined beers i have had from laughing dog, and the rest of the sixer might be long tenants in the back of my fridge, i am no hurry to drink any more of these...

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Pour is hazy, tiny collar of white foam. Light grapefruit, citrus aroma. Taste mirrors the smell, light citrusy notes leading into a gentle dry bitterness.
