It's a seasonal. Had this on tap at the pleasant, small bar/ restaurant Zavino at 13th & Walnut, Philly. Very nice! More like a pale ale, Id say, and not very orange at all - more golden, but we both liked it enough to look for it -- have a feeling this one is not distributed - or maybe not even bottled yet.

Later - oh no, just found out there's another one called "Pulp Fusion Blood Orange" -- so maybe that was it -- the bar maid simply called it "Blood Orange". Dunno!!

Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer is served a hazy orange color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades moderately quickly to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass

Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a blood orange smell mixed with some nice hop aromas of a grassy and citrus nature. Along with these aromas comes some lighter notes of

Taste – The taste begins with a rather sweet bready taste with the sweet being mostly of a blood orange taste. Upfront there is a bit of a wheaty taste and a lighter hop flavor of a citrus grapefruit flavor. The wheaty and grapefruit flavor get stronger in nature as the taste advances with some lighter tastes of pine and grass develop. These hops actually surpass the grapefruit hop and with a little loss of some sweetness one is left with a rather nice semi-sweet orange citrus and hopped flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is a little bit on the chewier side with a carbonation level that is rather moderate. For the blood orange flavors mixed with the bit of hop and wheat, one is left with a rather nice chewy and thicker feel on the tongue.

Overall- A rather tasty brew overall. I had this last year, and I think this years is a bet more fresh in terms of its hop and blood orange taste. A pretty nice brew overall.

A truly awful beer. Mix bud light with blood oranges. I have to admit I could smell the blood oranges but it was followed with a similar smell of Budweiser. The taste followed the smell.
