Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a lightly hazed golden yellow color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a lighter level of retention, fading to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell –While touted as a watermelon sour there is only faint hints of watermelon rind in the nose. The largest smell by far is a wheaty and grainy smell.
Taste-The taste begins with a dry and lighter wheat bread flavor mixed with a little bit of yeastiness. There are some grassy and some tiny hints of watermelon that come to the tongue later on in the profile, leaving one with a rather light wheat taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the light flavors the feel is good as it creates an easy drinker.
Overall – Not really the best brew out there for the style and touted watermelon flavor in my opinion. While nothing is off in the taste, the beer is really just a light wheat tasting beer overall.
