Pours a slightly hazy caramel color with an adequate amount of foamy head. Smells of the whiskey barrel and caramel. The flavor follows the nose without much else. Kind of watery and overall not worth the price. Love the bottle, if that's worth anything.

A: 24k gold colour, 2 fingers of foam with a vigorous pour. Decent lacing.
S: Whiskey nose with some wheat and roasted notes. Caramel malt sweetness grows the more I take whiffs.
T: Whiskey is strong, caramel malt is strong, the wheat is there as is a peculiar sharpness that's hard to describe. Just saying that it throws off the direction that the beer was going in in a decidedly negative way.
M: A bit thin bodied for a brew as abv strong as it is. Good carbonation.
O: I am typically disappointed with the majority of Boulder beers. This is no exception.
