Poured into a tumbler glass.

Pours a pale straw yelllw, murky, with flakes of yeast or something that sink to the bottom. A white cap recedes to a wisp.

Aroma of corn adjuncts, a very grainy aroma, a little bit of wet cardboard as well.

Tastes metallic and clean with hints of grain, corn husk. Is not overly hopped nor too sweet.

Mouthfeel is light and dry.

Overall, it's an okay beer but it's kinda all over the place and I'm not sure why it would be better than a genuine Mexican lager. I'd rather just drink the real thing.

built like a mexican lager, except its an ale, which is kind of neat, and i think they put a little white wheat in it, it certainly feels like they do, frothy and foamy, dry but cerealy and fresh tasting, and super well carbonated, i love beers like this right from the can in the heat of the summer when i can put a whole can away in three or four sips. its that kind of beer too, with just a dry cereal grain flavor and a touch of citrus in the finish, very very clean, and quite delicate. i like it being an ale too, there is no bready lager yeast in the way, but all the essential flavors of a mexican lager are present. the carbonation really zings here, and it keeps the beer interesting. it also has a slightly craftier feel to me than a lot of them, between the malt and the body and the whole package, it just feels higher quality than a lot of its peers. a beer they should sell by the 30 pack this time of year, i could even see it being right on with a lime slice as a cinqo de mayo beer, it has that vibe. it will never get the love it deserves because of the style, but this is awfully good for what it is.
