Colorado’s First Craft Brewery turns the big 4-0 in 2019! To toast this milestone we brewed up a celebratory ale that kicks the party into high gear. A 9% Strong Golden Ale, our 40th Anniversary brew shines with a fruit forward tanginess from the pineapple addition paired with a citrusy hop backbone. Fresh oak chips added to the fermenter while cold-conditioning impart a subtle spicy, oaky flavor. Finally, champagne yeast nicely dries out the brew, leaving you with a crisp, clean, effervescent finish. Party like it’s 1979!

Pours a crystal clear honey color with an abundant white head. Nice retention and lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit forward, pineapple and mango. Flavor follows the nose, sweet up front with a touch of oak and just a hint of hop bitterness in the finish. Feel is medium bodied. Overall a nice beer at a fair price. 9% ABV well concealed.
